The HS-311 Standard servo from Hitec is perfect to drive the gauges. Although that you can use any standard servo motor, due to small differences in sizes and mounting holes, we recommend the HS-311 servo from Hitec. The servo will last very long with the SimKits application, since the load onto the servo motor is very low.
The modified HS-322 Standard servo from Hitec is needed to drive certain gauges, like the Altimeter, Heading Indicator and ADF. A normal servo has a hardware stop to prevent the ax of the servo to turn more than 180 degrees. The modified servo does not have this stop and is therefore able to turn into both directions without being mechanically stopped. The modified servo als has the internal feed-back potentiometer disabled.
The High Precision High Torque Servo has metal gear and dual ball bearings and offers additional holding torque against the normal servo. It is to be recommended for high precision use in Simkits Instruments.
The modified high precision servo can be used instead of the normal modified servo and is needed to drive certain gauges, like the Altimeter, Heading Indicator and ADF. A normal servo has a hardware stop to prevent the ax of the servo to turn more than 180 degrees. The modified servo does not have this stop and is therefore able to turn into both directions without being mechanically stopped. The modified servo als has the internal feed-back potentiometer disabled.
